At one point in time I had about 3 full pages of text I copy and pasted with 6 speed swap information. If I recall correctly the 6 speed is very similar to the 5 speed as far as the shifter goes. 6speed trans Reply #12 – June 20, 2009, 12:00:51 AM I have "seen" 3 5.0 based cat/birds and one turbo coupe 2.3 with a 6 speed. No info on any of them though cause i suck like that. In the 5.0 cars its an easy swap. It can be expensive though. It can be done "on the cheap" but its still "expensive. Id wager 1000 to 1500 easy. Mine was about 1300 by the time i was rowing gears with it and that was in the stang. Although, i suspect the only real difference would be the speedo. Cat/birds are electronic as well are they not?
