End of month progress pics Reply #660 – October 31, 2011, 05:14:11 AM Here we are at the end of October. 2011. I guess if I hadn't had to pull the heads off I'd be a bit farther along, but it is what it is.I got the fenders, nose, and hood all fit and tightened down. I bought some cheap fog lights at Wally World and want to get those on next while I finish up the lower valance and air dam.I cleaned up a decent set of headlights and put all the lights in the nose. It's just about time to begin the dash assembly with all the switches and the car computer stuff. Soon I can see what all works and what doesn't with lights and such.I ordered new headliner and it should be coming soon. My present plan is to go ahead and start putting the interior together up to the top of the dash. I'll leave the dash cap, headliner and upper plastic trim off until I get the windshield in. I'm leaving off the windshield trim as well. This way I can drive the car to the windshield shop instead of getting the mobile service. Once I have new glass I can finish up the interior. So, the punch list is: (no particular order)1. lay wiring for car pc2. finish front valence, horns, and fog lights3. assemble dash4. carpet5. seats6. door panels7. install remote door and trunk locks8. clean a set of snowflakes to get some tires mounted on (winter rims)9. check diff fluid level10. change oil and filter11. install pc and connect to Megasquirt and tranny computers for in-car tuningI can then go get the title and plates taken care of and be able to drive and tune the car. Final to-do's after that will be painting and installing the side moldings and inner fender splash shields, mounting the voice command microphone, installing an amp for the sound system, wiring in the HD radio, installing the gentex rearview mirror, making up a coolant overflow bottle, tpuppies out the trunk, mounting an evap canister, and finishing off the center console with some custom ideas I have . Here's what she looks like as of right now. Quote Selected

Man that is a LOT of work to get to this point. But your hard work is paying off.I think your game plan is solid. I hope the front windshield goes in well. Is it cracked or scratched or something? Is it cracked or scratched or something? It isn't HORRIBLE, but it has a big wiper mark right in front of the driver seat, and 2 stars as well. Since the windshield is still relatively inexpensive and I have all the trim off, I figured I may as well just get it done. It makes a car seem new when you look out of fresh glass, don't you think?
