o2 sensor wiring

Ok, so im getting ready to put in my o2 sensors, and i have to lengthen the wires, i have already cut them and my dumbass forgot to label the wires:hick:  theres 2 white and 1 black, of course i know the black connects to the black, but does it matter which white wire connects to its mate on the other end?

I did that a long time ago (I lengthened the harness on this car,and not the sensors),and what i did was, look at the relation of the wires in the sensor (placement of the three) to the wires on the plug (again, the placement of the wires),and was able to get the job done.

The two white wires are the heater, orientation makes no difference...

I didn't know that.Cool.As far as wrapping them,I soldered mine, applied some heat shrink, and then some heat wrap sleeve (put the sleeve and heat shrink on BEFORE you do any wire connecting.LOL.

Where did you get the heat sleeve from? I got the shrink tubing, and i went to Advance auto/Oreilly auto/ Auto zone and Lowe's and they all looked at me like i had three heads when i told them what i was doing and what i was looking for (i even called it a heat sleeve, they still had no clue...)

heat sleeve is a ceramic sleeve that most racer put on the spark plug wires from burning next to hot headers. they also wrap headers with it to keep the heat from the engine compartment. if you wrap your wiring it will keep the exhaust from burn your wiring.try summit racing .
remember it easier to fix them, than to find them after they been crushed.
