Transmission Lines Routing November 28, 2008, 03:52:43 PM Anyone with an 87-88 v8. I need detailed information on how the tranny lines are routed. Pictures or a description would be great. I'm not sure if they go on top of the little lip right below the strut tower or what.A Quote Selected

Transmission Lines Routing Reply #4 – November 28, 2008, 10:53:19 PM they run from under the tranny cooler, to under the crank and go either over or under the motor mounts. I believe its over on the passenger side, then for the most part, it should be fairly self explanatory. Quote Selected

Transmission Lines Routing Reply #7 – November 28, 2008, 11:00:04 PM okay. anyone have any tips on how to get them in there with the engine in? I cant seem to get them in there without bending them... Quote Selected
Transmission Lines Routing Reply #8 – November 28, 2008, 11:02:00 PM don't bend them if you can help it. That is how I messed my old ones up. I'll run out to the car and take a flashlight pic. I have done it before with the engine in. Couple of times actually. You may need to finesse it alittle bit. (Read, use a small amount of force, but don't bend them if you can help it) Quote Selected
Transmission Lines Routing Reply #9 – November 28, 2008, 11:04:22 PM Thank you... I imagine you have to put them in from the front and feed them back towards the tranny, correct? Thanks for doing this. Quote Selected
Transmission Lines Routing Reply #10 – November 28, 2008, 11:18:40 PM I think I did it from the back to the front. The mounts on the lines aren't really necissery from what I remember. I skipped them the second time. The first time I just stuck the tag thing on the first bolt that lined up. I remember it being near the passenger side of the timing chain cover. I may be wrong there.I couldn't get underneith the car to get good pics on the side of the tranny. Heres the two from the front that show where they go. That is prolly the part you know though...
