Cool!  PM'd you.

I've got another question for everybody.  I stopped in at NAPA today and inquired about a new distributor assembly.  He asked me, "cast-iron" or "steel".  I went, ummmmm.... I dunno.  He also told me that these two cannot be interchanged.

I believe I have a steel distributor, but how can I tell?  What did the 5.0L in 1988 come with?

I figured they were talking about the dizzy gear.

I asked kitzdnm the same question and the reply was "That would be steel for a roller cam."

Makes sense.  Learn something new everyday.

So, kitzdnm, I'll let you know on Monday or Tuesday about your dizzy.  In the meantime, I'll be getting to work on a few other jobs on X that need to be done.

Thanks everyone for your help!!!
