OMG stole my idea!!!! LOL If I could weld Ida done it already but I can't. The straight-8 in the buick has a sound all it's own because of the SINGLE manifold. It's....kind of underwhelming. Im NOT complaining...but were it easy to do and cheap I'd do it to get that real 8 sound out of it. I had thought of doing that to split the cylinders into two headers. It would be rather period-correct because of the flex pipe (a la auburn speedster), and obviously flow wouldnt be a goal, just the sound modification.

That and I would have bothered to make a collector that actually...like....SEALED the joint there haha.

That's to reduce the backpressure, so it doesn't blow the headgasket

Actually, no STOCK muscle car would run better than mid/low 13s(I'm talking Pony and intermediates here)... And stock the B429 Stang was a dog, don't believe any ran much better than a high 13... NOW with headers(open), a carb and ignition rework, plus a good gear, about any old the old MCs would run low 12s and better...

Someone on Honda-tech found a thread on MustangForums about a kid who blew up his mustang using nitrous. The kid made a video about his exploits of the rig job and his illegal street racing. Motor eats itself in vid. HT tracked the kid down and sent a letter to his parents and dealership.

the buick straight 8 sounds OUT OF THIS WORLD with duel headers, and duel intakes with 4bbls
my grandfather in maine just built up one its INSANE. They SELL headers for them
