GT4 hashiznit the shelves

650 cars and 100 tracks  ..... nuffsaid..... ok, I'll say a bit more.

Got mine last night. They had just gotten them at Wall-Mart. There are about sixty coppies at the SEC, at least, there was last night. Don't expect them to last long. They're going for about $57 CAN.

I spent about an hour looking at every car in the dealers, and a good twenty minutes trying to push an F-150 Lightning around the Nurburgring. :giggle: It didn't go well. No wonder that track has killed so many. The truck was almost as wide as the tarmac.

Anyway, strange options in Aracade mode. You can adjust power ratings now without actually buying parts. :screwy: I'm not sure how I like that.

The Photography section is interesting. Unique, at any rate. I think it's awesome that you can pick lenses.

Got it yesterday, played it a lttle.  The quarter mile runs (400M) seem off considering the time was a 13.7 but with a trap speed of 128.  Graphics are top notch.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

yeah because your console is 233mhz and can play top of the line games, and my computer is 300mhz and cant play jack. I can play dvd's and it does have surround sound. But I guess I have been beaten

Got my stang to turn a 12.229 in the 1/4 mile run and it's only half modded,479hp i think.
Sounds like with that kind of hp it should be alot faster, maybe i gotta use softer tires.
334kph on the high speed ring.

Fastest I ran with my stang was a 12.555 fully done up,(634hp / 622ftlbs) on NOS, spinning the whole way.  Only thing I forgot to get is the soft tires.

Looks like I have to run out to my local electronics shop and pick this up.  I've only been waiting for 2 years for this game.  It's going to be the first game that features a car I own - a mid 1970's Toyota Celica GT.  Mine's a 1977, the one in the game is a 74 I think.

Only problem with your celica is it appears to be a prize car,  (and so is the 67 Cougar XR-7)  I've yet to find what race that unlocks it....

Cougar is unlocked by getting the Super license.
