So I guess I'll give everybody an update on the lack of progress.............

I've worked out a deal for another rust-free trunk lid, and possibly some fenders for the vert.
Since labor day, things got really busy at work. In that time, my grandfather passed away at the young age of 90, and I have been repairing things around the house for my grandmother since then. (also 90)
And then people started calling me for more work on top of what I had already. it's been a busy 2 months with everything that has happened, on top of finishing the new shop. (insulation and drywall are this weekend).
But all is not lost. I'm waiting for my brand new p heads to get shipped, and a few more tidbits for the rest of the car. also got quads for the rear. (Both cars)
I probably won't be working on the car until December. The work and painting isn't a worry since the shop is heated.

I also got misc. replacement parts for the vert..... trim, mouldings, Chrome...... that sort of thing.

I'm also going to be in search of a cam in a few weeks. Not sure which one I'm going with yet, but possibly a stage I and some forged pistons.

So that's what has been happening since labor day. Oh yea, I went to Cape Cod for 9 days too.
I'll post some pics of the shop after the drywall is up tomorrow.

Sounds good man! Except for the loss, sorry to hear that! But other than that you got everything squared away anyway, nothin but a matter of time. Gonna be a helluva day when that thing rolls out all revamped....

The walls were taller the 8'. It's easier to finish the drywall in the center, then the top or bottom.

drool.. Everyday I dream about building a shop like that. I'm so sick of suburbia and need to move back to rural Michigan. Awesome shop...can I just come visit and just daydream in it?

Is that foil faced hard insulation in the ceiling? How was it laying it out? Did you cut it out around each rafter?

BTW, sorry about your grandfather....I lost mine recently, too.
