Help me select a new rim size?

Been shopping for snow tires this week. Actually the first time I've bought NEW tires for the car in 3 years and the last time I did it I didn't really know anything about cars. Well anyway I'm finding my stock rim size of 195/75R14 is quickly going extinct. NOBODY makes really good tires for this size anymore, I wanted Blizzaks but had to settle for Goodyear Ultra Grips, and not even the Ultra Grip Ice Radials, just the cheaper Ultra Grips. If I'd antited this I would've changed rim sizes during the summer, at this stage it's too expensive.
So anyway I want to change to a less obscure rim in the spring but I don't think I wanna give up my hubcaps. Besides that if I went to some fancy aftermarket rims I'd probably have to do the 5 lug conversion. Are there any stockish rims that could let me use a wider range of tires and still retain my hubcaps?

Stock tire size should be 215/70R14 That may help you out a bit. You could easily switch to any of the stock 15" wheels to give you more options (ex: 10 holes, turbines) or up to stock 16" (snowflakes, mustang ponys)

if you would like to keep using hubcaps, some PI mustangs had 4lug 15" steelies.

Well it's not so much a matter of using any hubcaps just because they're hubcaps. I like the styling of my stock hubcaps, I was going to have them chromed.

hrrrmmmm, i see.

well if youre gonna stick with your hubcaps, then you are gonna stick to 14" wheels as well. did you look for any "close" sizes that might be more available? if there are some that are more readily available but too wide for your current wheels, you can have the centers put into wider hoops fairly cheaply.
