new cougar owner September 19, 2007, 01:50:54 PM I just bought a 1988 cougar xr-7 with 114,000 miles from a family friend who just had to many cars and wanted someone he knows to buy it.It has digital guages,sunroof and leather interior. new cougar owner Reply #5 – September 19, 2007, 03:35:24 PM I will be putting up pics but I spent all weekend waxing it here in sunny SOCAL and today it looks like it is going to rain so I might have to get her cleaned up again first.I am very happy with the car, every little light works even the lights in the door key holes. I found out from my parents that he wanted to sell me the car on wed. I called him thurs. and worked out the deal and then picked it up on fri. after work.
