You couldn't be more wrong. Those other series struggle in NA because of one thing. There is absolutely no media coverage. They can't set aside an hour for WRC but they can give that much time to watching Jr., Gordon or Stewart play poker? You have to see the problem here.My issue isn't with NASCAR. It's with the Speed Channel and the fact that 90% of their programming is about the one series. Speedvision used to have something for everyone, but now that it has morphed into the current Speed there is nothing for anyone but NASCAR fans. No more NASCAR Channel Reply #8 – August 02, 2007, 01:07:46 PM I used to like nascar, and will still watch it if thats all there is to do, but I got burned out on nascar when speed turned into the 24 hour nascar channal. The reson I got satalite tv about two years ago was becouse I wanted speedvision again. Boy was I upet to see what it had turned into. what a joke. all I see is stock car racing uniqe whips and nopi "dopi" tv. you have to stay up till like 4am to see anything different. Oh and Im at work and have the tv turned to speed right now, gess whats on.......STOCK CAR RACING!oh and I canceled my satalite after my contract was up. not going to waist my money on pre and post shows, with old nascar races mixed in. give me some good old dragracing, or scca, gt cup, rally, anything else. Oh and does any one else remember the speedvision cup? that was the tits! 98% stock cars, factory tires, basicly a showroom stock class, with only safty mods. those where the days. :( Quote Selected
No more NASCAR Channel Reply #9 – August 02, 2007, 03:24:19 PM that's kinda funny... i'd think just the opposite.... every time i turn to speed to see something about nascar, they are having some kind of rally/ open wheel coverage, monster jam, or unique whips... to say they are 90% nascar is ridiculous..... yes, nascar gets the most press, but truthfully, one of the reasons open wheel is having so many problems is not media coverage.... it's because usually if they touch, they're so damaged they can no longer compete..... in the nascar series (nextel, bush, arca, etc..) you can still win some of the races missing sheet metal.... what i'd like to see from speed is more outlaw races and short track dirt stuff Quote Selected
