Re: How would fox stang lights fit? Reply #15 – February 03, 2005, 10:13:00 AM They wont fit, as was said before. And if you did all the work to mount them, why in the heck would you want to hide them behind covers?? I would fit them in some custom enclosures in the front, paint them (The housings ) and try to keep the adjustments working. It would be pretty sick to see lets say.... 03 or 04 mustang lights tucked into a t-bird front end. Just do it right the first time, or you will probly regret it in the future. Quote Selected
Re: How would fox stang lights fit? Reply #16 – February 03, 2005, 10:37:25 AM every aspect except the light socket inside is different, i tryed with my buddys lights, i had a hard enough time fitting the headlight rubber gasket around my light from a mustang. i was thinking of trying to make a metal housing and find somebody that could do glass for the lens so i could run a brighter (much brighter) bulb or 2 in their without changeing the aerodynamic apearance of the stock lights. like i said before, and i agree with masterblaster, i like to be able to see at nite, and these plastic houseings are getting in my way of that... Re: How would fox stang lights fit? Reply #17 – February 03, 2005, 01:54:35 PM you guys are kinda missing the point. as we all know, nobody makes any kind of lights for the Tbirds or cougars, but there are plenty of aftermarket ones for the stangs. my idea was, if the stang lights aren't too far off size-wise, figure some way to mount them in my Tbird. I was looking at the projector lights, they'd be a 1000x improvement over the stock py headlights. I asked if anybody had tried seeing how they fit between the corner and inner lights, to know whether I was wasting my time or not. guess I'll have to go to the junkyard and see if any of the stang lights will fit the Tbirds there, and go from there Quote Selected

I keep asking because I want to know how badly they don't fit. It's pretty obvious they aren't going to bolt right in, I knew that before even asking. if they did bolt right in we'd all have 'stang replacements in there the day after the first night in the car. and you may think it'd look stupid, but like I said, you have yet to show any proof of that. since cougars2go won't even respond to my pms asking for just the place he got the lights, I have to go a different route, and mustang replacements seem to be as simple as modifying where they mount and, if they're far off enough to look really awkward, put some smoked covers over it. Re: How would fox stang lights fit? Reply #27 – February 03, 2005, 07:32:41 PM no, as long as dominator keeps his pointless posts out of here it's fine. but I doubt I'm the first to think of modifying the panel to get stang headlights in there, I'm not a very original thinker if push comes to shove, I'm sure the part that the headlight bolts to can be cut out of a mustang and welded into the Tbird header panel, and voila they fit. if the lights are shallower than the Tbirds, some spacers or even just welding the plate farther forward. sound like this would work or am I wasting my time dreaming these things up?
