Well there's a difference between being a big fan of an engine and dissin a beautiful car because it doesnt have that engine.

My point:  There are nice TCs on ebay ALL THE TIME with a 2.3.  This is the first fox Tbird I have ever seen with such a setup straight from the dealer.  That's what makes the car rare and desirable.  That is like dissing a '63 Corvette Stingray split window because it has the split in the window...

So I am to believe that a Turbo coupe with a V8 shoved in to it is rare?  WTF that is what most people do to a turbo coupe. What makes it so rare it has a 91 5.0L in it. Those are a dime a dozen. Now a sweet looking turbo coupe that is a full flegded turbo coupe not a nice turbo coupe that has had its motor car jacked form it. Have you all ever seen barrett Jackson? If you have you would know that it makes it worthless with out the 2.3turbo engine. So yes it is a nice car but all in all just a waste to have such a nice T/c and it be such a worthless. Yes I love these Fox T-birds but that one is a total discrace to the turbo coupe name. Why would a 87 bird need to be serviced with 91 stuff? Becuse it is something that someone has JACKED up! Wasn't this very site that everyone was puppiesg about putting a Chevy motor in a Ford, well to me that is the same thing they did to that Nice ass turbo coupe.

thats a dirt track 2.3.
I love that car, but it would have been cooler to be all factory done up 2.3t, still is awesome its all factory modded though

What makes it so rare is that it was DEALER INSTALLED and has FACTORY FORD STICKERS ON IT documenting EVERYTHING!!!

Go find me another Tbird like that.  Kthxbye.

Why does everyone want it to have the 2.3 when there's a pristine stock TC on ebay at least once a month?

If you're talking about the pic of the one I posted, no it isn't, it was a Roush pushing close to 1000 HP used for the Trans Am series races. ;)

LMAO, and if it is so worthless, why is the bid up to $7,500 and there is still over a week left?  Hmmmm lets think REAL hard on that one...

...probably has nothing to do with what I've said in this thread about 5 times.

I'm not hatin on it just because it's a TC with a 5.0. Christ if I had one it would probaly have a 5.0. I LOVE it that even if it had a chevy 350 in it, it's a hell of alot cleaner then ANY car on here. A 5.0 thats dealer istalled is only a big bonus. the only car that comes close is Erics new V6 IMO. I mean you could eat off that 5.0

Yeah, and if anyone remembers, not too long ago I asked if any Tbirds or Cougars snuck out of the factory with HOs.  The answer was no, but this specimen is as close as it gets.

That had to be a favor to a friend of a Higher up in Ford.  Or homeboy had a LOT of cash to get that factory installed.  Either way, it'd be a cool car to own.  First thing I'd do to it'd be stick some long tubes and a nice lopey cam in it

:whatever: BS!
The only thing "Dealer Installed" is the fact that the mechanics at a dealership did the work..

"Factory Installed" would imply BEFORE delivery

The car is a 87
The engine is a USED 91
it was not delivered that way with a factory warranty. (dealer installed options like you are implying do not void factory warranty's)
To swap an engine to something that was not an option on the car 4 years later is just that.. an engine swap to NON Original
it is not a Dealer Installed option.

They ruined a 5000 mile car and made it just another 50 swapped TC.
In VERY good shape.
