TRX Wheel Project Update February 22, 2007, 10:51:31 AM I see my original TRX Wheel thread expired.Update: I got the valve stem holes filled in by a welder who Tig welded them. Made a noticable difference!I also found a set of 16 inch wheels and had two more centers machined to fit inside. I will be running 16 x 8 on the front and 17 x 8 on the rear with M&H 325-45-17 Drag Radials while retaining the look of real TRXs. Quote Selected

TRX Wheel Project Update Reply #5 – February 22, 2007, 11:48:25 AM I have not gotten to the road test portion of the experiment. My theory is that the centers are almost perfectly balanced so vibration at speed should not be a problem. However, as we all know, some thing don't always work out as planned. As far as making them for others, I dunno. I have my hands full with starting a new racing series right now so I will be getting busy starting next week. Quote Selected

TRX Wheel Project Update Reply #10 – February 23, 2007, 07:53:44 PM The only 325-45-17 out there that will fit an 8 inch wheel is the M&H Drag Radial because as I found out after I bought my 275-55-16 M&Hs on the car now, their tires are not as wide as BFG or M/T. ( even tho the sidewall designation is the same)That 275 -55-16 is small compared to my 8 year old 275-60-15 M&Hs.In fact, "John" at M&H told me that a 8 inch is perfect for their 325-17 DR. My 275-55-16 looks as big as a BFG 255-50-16 in width. The good news is that any of you guys that want to run 28 in. tall drag radials on 7 in wheels and do not want to cut your fenderwells in any way, these tires are for you.I will have to trim my fenderlips for the 325s tho.I'll post pics when I get the 325s.
