diy porting e7te

I see all kinds of porting sites but I cant find the finished exhaust port dimentions after porting. The exhaust port on the e7te is 1 inch wide by 1.25 inches high. If i match it to my header ports the port will end up being 1.1 wide by 1.5 high. there would be a 1/16 removed from the top of the port and 3/16 removed from the bottom of the port.
Is there enough material in the head to do this successfully? I dont want to hit the water jacket or end up with a cracked head from thinning it out to much.

Dont worry about trying to go to a certain size in general ,Just clean up the casting defects and work on the below.

work on the bowl area, and in general the exhaust port (remove the smog bumps) and blend the roof/sides/floor of the port.
