Confused about motor mounts.

The ones I have on my car are still good, they have less than 30k miles on them in 10 years. Its been 10 years and I don't remember where I bought them. Even then it was hard to find them. I like to stock pile items. The problem I am having, is I can not find ones like what are currently on my car. The ones on my car look like the ones on the top. The only ones it seems I am able to find are the ones that look like the ones on the bottom (Chuck W's). I have the 5.0. Anyone have any suggestions?

I doubt you're going to find anything like your originals.

Your 83 should be able to use Mustang mounts.

Mine are for thr 86-88's.

If you have an 83-85 and want poly, use the Mustang mounts.

sorry, should have been a little more clear, am looking for an improved design in poly. have looked at energy suspension and prothane. has anyone had any negative experience with these. i,m not impressed with either. have the energy suspension kit installed on the car and noticed a stiffer feel but a harsher feel in the steering column. knew the pros and cons going in. its ok for my usage. any feedback is appreciated, this has been an awesome  information forum site i have read for years. thanks!!!!!

Ah, I see.

Well mine only fit the 86-88 K-members.

With the availability of the ES Mustang stuff for the 83-85's I never thought about looking at something for them.

I know for the 2.3T applications, my 83-85 mounts are much more compact than the 86-88 units.

I might be able to come up with something for the earlier cars, and thus be able to offer different stiffnesses of bushings.
