Fila's First Drive October 15, 2006, 11:21:04 AM I just took it around town for the first real drive and it did great. Stalled a few times at a stop and the brakes need bled but it's in progress. Also the cops don't like the sound of open manifolds I found. If anyone "local" wants to see her I'm up to a drive sometime. Let me know. Fila's First Drive Reply #5 – October 15, 2006, 03:47:48 PM Whatever it is, I need one. You can turn it over to a point, then the starter just spins. Turn the it alittle by hand then you can turn it over by key again to the same point. It still starts and now drives. I had it in D in 1st then all of a sudden she threw me into my seat and low and behold, I had ALL the gears, R, OD, D, everything. But now this problem... Quote Selected
Fila's First Drive Reply #6 – October 15, 2006, 06:17:36 PM Check the starter motor.My '86 did the same exact thing on two occasions. Once it was the Bendix going bad in the motor, and the other time the bolts came loose and the starter was pulling away from the bellhousing. Quote Selected
