Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Well, the g/f's TC is starting to give up the ghost. 150900 miles on the A4LD is slipping into 3rd. Can't complain, still get 20-26 MPG, boost has been at 12 psi for 2.5 years, has 2.5" SS mandrel-bent duals (98 Cobra take-off), paint is still very nice, interior is mint. The thing is, she's owned it for 7 years, it was her high school ride. She wants something newer, more reliable, and a 4-door. We're looking at 99-01 Acura 3.2 TL's. Thing is, I don't want to trade her car in. Other then the obvious "nice TC" reasons, we met because I tried to buy it off of her. So the idea is, since her car is identically optioned as Thunderstruck (as in none whatsoever except the auto) I'm going to sell Thunderstruck (anybody want an 87TC racecar project with 120K miles, mint Code 33 Silver-Blue body and Charcoal cloth interior?) and turn her car into the race project. I have a 5-Speed, pedal assembly, CHE rear arms, Moroso battery relocation kit, B&M Roll Control, and Chuck's motor mounts saved up.

The thing is, what do I do? If I go all-out on the racecar project, then I'll take the SC50 and RAM clutch set-up out of Layla. The machine shop screwed me on the head (nicked an exhaust guide, now I have no #4 exhaust seal) so the car neads a new head. Thing is, now I have a 401 waiting for a home. Do I stick the 401 in Layla and abandon my built short-block (or keep it for a spare)? Or do I buy a fuelie 5.0 HO and go budget 347 build-up? I'd really rather have a V8 in Layla (right now anyways). What would you do?

keep them booth. Use the Gf's T/c as daily driver and Still build thindersturck. Then when it gets done you can mod the T/C
84 Turbo coupe 2.3T Modded with 88 upper and lower intake, 88 injectors, E6 manifold, T3-4 AR.60 turbo, 31X12X3 FMIC, Homemade MBC , Greddy knock off BPV.

I already have a daily driver and 1 too many cars. Something HAS to go, so the engineless one gets it.

well. look at sentimeltal value as well.
do you want to build a race project out of something that reminds you of your love for each other?
hop it up yes, but I would keep it as a cruiser if you can swing it, maybe street it up some, but keep it closer to stock than all out race machine.

also, have you proposed yet? common, she is sticking around through all the car stuff.. you can't let her get away!!! :P

I want your guys' living area. That first room is exactly what I like in houses - big and open. Currently, everything is still going forward for a next weekend paint job. Hoping to pick that door up on Friday/early afternoon when swinging through there for work if thats fine with you.
