1996 Mercury Cougar XR-7

-64k miles
-Fantastic paint, great interior, very solid drivetrain
-Absolutely no rust

Details:
-4.6
-8.8' rear with Traction-Lok 3.27
-Premium sound
-Illuminated entry
-Automatic climate control
-Auto lamp
-Four-wheel disc
-Engine block heater
-Factory alarm with keyless entry (two key fobs)
-Full leather interior (swapped from a '95)

Stuff I've done:
-Replaced factory intake with NPI alum. crossover
-Mercon V and tranny cooler (at 49k miles)
-Updated 1-2 shift accumulator
-Dynomax mandrel-bent cat-back exhaust
-Tinted headlights and corners (painted)
-Tinted taillights (Niteshades, very light)
-De-chromed taillights
-Polished underhood parts, such as IAC and EGR
-Removed front grille and chrome piece
-Lincoln LS wheels
-Tinted glass

Some of the bad stuff:
The power antenna has been disconnected. The gears broke inside the motor. This is a common problem. I never really cared about it, so I just unplugged it and forgot it was there.
The previous owner hit something small with the front-end, possibly a bird. As a result, two of the mounting points of the driver's side headlight are broken. The hole in the header panel where these mounts go is also broken (the holes were enlarged). I've fabricated a way for the headlight to be mounted solid and properly aimed. I already have better headlights for the car, but no header panel. This is an easy fix.
I had another trunklid painted and installed. The previous one had a luggage rack on it. The paint match is almost perfect, but there are a few foggy areas in the paint. It's hardly noticeable, but I thought I would mention it.
Also, the chrome piece that went on the hood was removed and left behind five holes. As a quick fix, I blocked them from behind, filled them, painted, then wet-sanded and blended. You can only tell when you get up close. I've recently noticed that there are some small cracks where the filler is.

This car is dead-solid reliable. All of the weak points have been strengthened, as well as some cool stuff too.
I have the original seats which are in MINT condition. However, they are the cloth/leather with the grandma "paisley" pattern. I couldn't stand them, so I swapped in a set of full leather seats which are in great shape. The factory seats will be in the car when it is sold, but the full leather seats may go with it for additional cost.
I also have three sets of wheels for this car. The Lincoln LS wheels (with spacers and lugs), the factory spokey wheels, and some 7-spoke XR7 wheels. Some of those can be included for an extra price. There are no tires on the XR7 wheels. The tires on the LS wheels are Good Years and in fantastic condition. The tires on the factory wheels have tires, but they are low on tread and have some dry-cracks in the rubber.

$4,400 - Serious inquiries only. PM me.
This price can fluctuate depending on what the buyer wants with the car (wheels, seats, etc.)
While I thought I could have a friend drive it to Cat Jam, it now appears that this won't be possible. For those who know me and have seen this car, they know it's in very good shape for its age. I would like to see a Cougar fan buy it and take care of it.
