Hahahaha, Claude, i was searching where in the forums you put that SC engine into the Cat, but i know this is a project. This time, take a LOT OF PICS and do a LOT OF DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS. The SC swap still is a mystery for the 99.98% of the people here....

Before putting the engine back together I'll have the heads ported.  Got a guy in florida for that.

I have alot of information gathered already but not enough of it is together and pretty like the 5 speed swap thread.

When I feal frisky I'll start to compile it all together.

do the 89 up sc's have internal balancing?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

As in a balance shaft?

No, only 88's came with the balance shaft.  But every 3.8 block from 88 on is machined for the balance shaft.

Claude, did you get the parts from Lance or something?  Don't tell me you got it from pick'n pull.  I'm so jealous right now you have no idea!...  Now i gotta go get a 351w for the bird to keep up with you're crazy ass!  Not to mention I got beat by a focus the other day.  Do you know how that makes me feel?  I feel slow and hopeless.

if anyone can do the swap you can claude,  i've known you for awhile now and you're awesome at moddin.  So keep up the good work and if you need help just let me know!

I am looking into swapping a 88 block into a 87 cougar, and I was curious about the sc as well as mateing a stick to it. But I will not be able to until I have more time and money. Good luck, I will be looking forward to this.
