So im looking through a 5.0 resto catalog and i come across a set of ford racing 460 ci motor mounts for a fox.  I just so happen to have a 460 and was toying with the idea of dropping it into the cat with some of the cobra jet goodies onbord.  Anyone else think this is a bad idea:evilgrin:.  If i can find a daily driver i just might do it.  Any suggestions, tip, tricks, or advice guys?

You should DO It. My original plan was to stick a 460 in my T/c  But then decided that why ruin a Turbo coupe. Any how I did alot of research and have seen many in mustangs.

if it fits, which it will, do it, long tubes with dumps out of a 3" pipe. i can hear it now you have to do it. just buy a little escort for now and worry about the cat. save you money on gas, cause the 460 going need it, and have a kickass car evn faster and when the cat is done you can buy a real dd

There are no 460 to fox cat/bird motor mounts.  Unless your car is an 85 or earlier, but its not.

Yes, change the k-members first. Try out a little zx2 escort. There not bad for what they are. 98  on they have focus engines I do belive.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
