So I need to raise the rear...

I really want to even out the rear with the front, and I found a spring that appears to be broken.  Which springs should I get?  I'm looking for a stock type spring so I can spend less money on it.

I realize the typical answer is TC springs.  Would '03 Cobra springs raise the rear?  I assume since they were the heaviest of the mustangs they'd be more suited for our cards  :D  Plus people get rid of them all the time :)

'03 Cobra's were IRS....springs are nothing like the live axle cars.

The heaviest live axle cars were the pre-'99 Cobra converts.....

I have 01 GT spring and they put the tire 1/2" away from the wheel well on my car.

The pic in my sig is old and with the stock springs.

My 86' presently has aftermarket adjustable springs on her. I am not sure where my mechanic got them, but you may want to hunt on-line. Not sure what kind of difference they will make in height, since my rear tires are taller than my fronts, and the front springs are cut also.

As I found out last week, if you get those "helper spring" airbags for the rear, they will raise the back end a bit and stiffen it up too. And they're probably cheaper than springs.

I would (and did) go with a factory replacement spring, and then later add the CHE lower control arms with adjustable spring perch.

Or, you could go to coilsprings.com and they can custom make you a set. Ray ordered some for his Marquis, stock height with a custom rate, and they ran less than $120, if I recall.

The Sports and TCs generally have the SAME rear springs, probably applies to the XR7s as well... My TC is an exception, as it has a different spring package than the other 5-6 I checked.
