camshaft

ok i wanna put a camshaft in my 3.8 and rollers and all that but i wanna know what just rollers will do for me. are rollers useless without a camshaft. im new to building engines so bear with me.

roller and flat tappet camshafts are totally diffrent. I am not sure if you can run an old one with a newer roller rockers. I would assume that you would want to.

From what I had picked up when trying to find a cam for my car you can't inter mix roller and flat tappet cams and lifters.

From what I understood the cams are different strengths of meterial so you would destroy either the lifters of the cam.
