the new gas...

The cougar has been missing lately. I don't think it's the gas though.
The Tib seems to have improved a bit which is weird since I heard there was going to be a 3% drop in fuel mileage. Normally I get about 29-30 mpg. This last fill up I got 35:dunno:

T-bird isn't missing it's bucking under hard throttle. I just gave it a full tune up before I took it out and it ran fine with the tank of gas from last fall in it (yeah I put Stabil in the gas). I filled it up with the new stuff and it hates it for some reason :dunno:

Yeah, I'm sure it didn't go any faster.  Higher octane fuel is unneccesary unless you have a need for it, higher compression, advanced timing, etc....even then you won't need more than 93 octane.  I ran 100 octane race fuel at Atco one day because I didn't have enough gas to make it through the rest of the day and still get home...I was nearly on "E" and spent $30 on this  gas(about 6 gallons) and noticed ZERO improvement in quarter mile times and the car drove like  at part throttle and idle until I ran a few tanks for 87 through it.

As far as the new ethanol additives in the gas...I haven't really noticed any drop in fuel mileage with it...maybe because the car is runnning so rich and I only get like 16mpg anyway.:toilet:
