5.0 progress... March 19, 2006, 11:34:20 AM I dont have any pics, since there isnt much to show as of now. Ive been putting a lot of work and money into the TC, and since i just worked a hell of a lot of overtime (12.5 hours in one week), i figured it was time to throw a little money around.To assemble the 5.0, all i needed was a timing set, and headbolts. Then i could have had a complete engine minus the front end accessories and all kinds of other BS. So i went to Advance Auto, grabbed a mid priced timing set, and then find out they dont have head bolts there. So i come home, ebay up some headbolts, then ebay up some stainless engine bolts. So i spent a good bit of yesterday cleaning up the gasket surfaces of the E7's, theyre ready to go on, i have all the lifters, pushrods, and everything for the valvetrain. So sometime after i get my headbolts and all the engine bolts in, ill have a complete 5.0, itll get all painted up, and made to look good.Then i get to buy a waterpump, accessory brackets, 3G alternator, and a bunch of other odds and ends, and the 5.0 will be readyThen its time to prepair the car. Will probably have long tubes, under drive pulleys, intake spacer, and a cold air intake for mods. Nothing worth taking pics of really. Quote Selected

They claim it will support up to 400-450hp and that is all I'm after. I have stripped it to the bare shell for a complete restoration, so the '88 5.0L 5 speed T-bird is giving me my fox thrills for now.
