Digital Dash

I have and 83 T-Bird with 5.0 gettin rid of old and putting a complete carb. motor in and ditchin AOD for a C-4.  Question is is there gonna be a hard time for me to get my speedo to work or is it standard drive and it doesn't go through a computer.  I would like to keep the digital speedo but if I have to take it out I will.

I believe with your '83 the speedo is still driven by a cable, but it is converted to electronic in a speed sensor on the back of (or inside) the speedo itself. You should be able to use the digital speedo with a carb with no problems.
