tac no workie

anybody know what would cause a tac to stop working on our cars? it looks like it wants to work, but its just real slow lol, it dosnt respond unless its moderate and up throttle, like as in when its just sitt'n their running the needle dosnt move at all, but when i rev it out, it moves.

I would guess a bad ground or coil cable. Just my two cents.
