OK guys..I have some bad news.

As you know I was talking to the guy today about organizing getting some more SFCs and getting some Caster Plus kits.  Well probably 2 hours after I talked to him as he was on his way up to the shop to verify things, another investor has swooped in and bought all the stuff that was left, so that deal is now closed.

Rumor is that the person heading the new deal (one of the sales guys from KBP) is working with Ken on some level.  I know they've lost the showroom/offices and the shop, but are going to work out of the manf side for the time being.

So what does that mean for the Tbird/Cougar guys?  Well the parts that were left are probably going to be available at some point, but most likely not at the prices I was going to be able to offer them to you guys.  I know they will have no plans for production on them either (1. Because I knew they had canned the product line a while back, and 2.  Because I have all the drawings (they were mine to begin with ;) )

I'm sorry things worked out this way.  There's really nothing I can do at this point.

So what this REALLY means is that some time in the future there will be a "May look into producing some cc plates" thread started by one "Chuck W" :deal:

Joking apart, if I should decide I want CC plates after replacing the rest of my suspension (and get tired of replacing front tires from the outer edges wearing out), will Mustang ones work, and if not, what mods would be required to make them work?

I'm contemplating it...but it's a matter of space limitations to do much more production than what I'm doing.

As far as the Mustang plates go.  You can make Fox plates work if you flip one side around and elongate the forward hole in the tower rearward 1/2" or so as the Mustang plates are "shorter".

Flip one side around? YOu mean as in "buy two left (or right) side plates"? or "buy the left and right but install one side backward"? Elabourate, please :D I'm sure if I do end up buying a Mustang set I'll be pestering the hell out of you for advice anyway :hick:

Since the drawings are yours, I assume you own the rights to them?  Been to the patent office yet?

The Tbird plates both are oriented in the same direction, on a Mustang they are flipped front to back on opposite sides of the car.  They are the same mount, just oriented differently.

The thing with the patent office is is costs $$$ to get a patent....I don't have $$$....

I knew it!  More common sense in a Tbird design than in the Mustang...

I expected that Chuck, I'm sure you'll have some colorful things to say on YM tomorrow...:D
SFCs are no big deal like I already agreed, the CC plates were just a simple and cheap design that worked good, the MM plates are 180 or 200 bucks I think.  Be careful Chuck, you know if you start making them the design could wind up getting cranked out of a Chinese factory by someone like SSAutochrome.
