Catalytic Converter Question

Okay, so I'm pretty sure it/they are plugged up. I have an '85 T-Bird with the 302. So, does the car really need them? I don't have to smog the vehicle in my county. I know, probobly a stupid question. But better to ask once then fix twice.

Since you live where theres no emissions,  I would just take them off, gut them and reinstall them and be done with it.

Your car should run perfectly fine without one. They aren't necessary and I don't have any on my car right now like many other people here.

O2 sensor will prolly set codes, but they are not needed, And i think you can find an 02 delete.  Someone verify this for me, My computer is in the ocean :) , so i cant be sure this is accurate, just what I've read.

O2s are only effected on OBDII cars with sensors after the cats to monitor there performance.  You will be fine.
