Sounds like an ignition module.  How fast does it crank when you try to turn it over?  Faster or slower than normal? Normal?

If you have spark it MAY not be the module, though those dam things are intermitent sometimes before they totally die. Check your fuel pressure with appropriate gague at the shrader valve on your fuel rail. I know this next one sounds dumb, but trust me...How old + how much gas in it? When you store it gas can go bad! Also, when you store them all the sediment in the tank settles and could almost instantly clog your fuel filter the first few times you crank it over. If you've got good spark CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE, your injectors are pretty particular about the pressure coming in leaving little margine for error.

I store my Bird from November 1st till March 31st. The best thing you can do before storing your car is to change the oil, fill the gas tank all the way up, and dump Staybil in the gas tank to keep the gas fresh. I also start my T-bird every Sunday for 15 minutes and let it idle to keep everything lubed and in good working order. After it comes out of storage change the fuel filter.

filled the tank before i stored it maybe end of oct early nov. i tested the ignition module and it passed. it cranks fast but if i try to much my battery starts to die and i have to keep it charged with my other car. i put some gas stuff in it also so it doesnt go bad. i may have to see if the fuel filter is cloged.

Have you checked that fuel pressure yet?...I don't see how a bigger T-body would run it richer if you are using the stock ECU and injectors.Since you say the trouble started after a rebuild I'd look there..who did it?If you did , did you botch an area or have trouble on stuff? Does the engine MISS? maybe you have a valve stuck(or two) check compression of each cylinder. If , say an exhaust valve were stuck open that nice fresh mix of gas+air is goin' right out the tail pipe, and might SMELL rich. Wish i could see it, makes it easier! But, um..yea..Check fuel pressure, check compression of each cyl, and notice the condition of the plugs as you check compression, any burning-fowling-oil- they should all be roughly the same looking.Goodluck man!
