power to non power locks Reply #1 – March 09, 2006, 12:34:23 PM Disconnecting where the door lock actuator rod hooks up to the rest of the system (the top part of the rod) bypasses the actuator. You can remove the actuator to clean up the door insides / weight savings, but once you disconnect the rod...the actuator does nothing. Quote Selected

Mine our out of a 79 T-bird I just had to use the metal rod out of mine. Its been 4 years an no problems. Quote Selected
