How big is "that tube"?
As big as your arm? Connects to a sheet-metal shroud that surrounds part of the manifold? Goes to the air cleaner snout? Warm air for the carb to prevent icing and all that.
As big as your pinkie finger? Goes to the choke coil housing on the side of the carb? You can feel/hear a small vacuum leak where it should be attached to the carb? Sucks in some hot air from around the manifold to help get the choke open quickly.
