I think the seat mount rails are different. The t'bird has a wider trans tunnel.

Oh, and the t'bird seats are infinetly more comfortable!! lol

Reuse your seat tracks, bolt the Fox or SN95 Mustang seats up to the tracks, you're good to go. All there is to it.

How about rear interchangeability? I think he was asking about the rear.

I've never found a practical way to make any Mustang rear seat work in our cars. The only car whose back seat works is the Mark VII.

Mark VII rear seats work directly or with modification?

Reason is because I want to put a rear seat delete kit from a Mustang into the Cougar. Looks like I will have to fabricate one myself.

a rear seat delete kit may be easier to install. i'd look into  it further. if its the same width you might be able to use it with small modifications.

or just take the seat out,.... I dont see much reason to take a 10 pound seat out and then put 10 lbs of plywood in there.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Well it would be more storage space since my hush project will be taking up trunk space. I will probably never carry any other passengers except my women  or a friend :)

I'm going to use a sheet of ABS and some carpet to cover up where mine was.  It will also be easier for me to get around the cage bars:hick:
