Pissed off

Have my car on the flatbead again,
went out to play with the car last night, Never got a pass in because as soon as i came off the HWY my motor started to knock a bit.

Cant tell if its a lifter or worse, But its there and its not happy.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

its 3rd time in a year this motor has had probs,
It was rebuilt 1000K ago, But it was not a full rebuild new pistons rings and bearings,
Its same cam and roller lifters but there only 4 months old and have only 2 months driving on them.  I'm thinking maybe some  got in one or somthing stupied.

But car is loaded and ready to go back to the builder so hea can hear it and try to pinpoint were its coming from.  I have already gone over the rockers and check the lash on them and there fine. Changed the oil and no change is the sound as well.

Dont thing this is in the bottom end and i realy cant see my luck being that bad.
But if it is i will shove a chevy motor in there.  OK Ok just kidding dont need to go postal on me.

Dont start me on Gas LOL
Canada drills it owns refines it own,
The probs in the US should not jack are price yet it do.
Are pipline ships more  then we can use.

Same  with Insurance.  The Insurace companys cry higher cost for Meds higher for repairs.  We have the highest insurance in ONT then anywere else in Canada and US.  Yet at the eand of the year the insurance companys yap they made record profits and .

I got gas at 95 cents a L so filled truck 65 bucks filled t bird there is 35 bucks because news here is saying gas will o to 1.80 L before the storm hits US.  Hmmm how can price already jump b4 they know if it will do any damage or not.  And worse is not the gas in tanks at the staions already payed for a cheaper price?

Oh well here is a pic of car on the truck.
We got this truck for 400 US and drove it home.
Put 2 tires on it with a good tune up it runs well.
Bigest expense was the wench it cost 300 bucks and is a 8000LB unit and it will drag the most dead od dead cars up onto the bed

A $300 wench is a pretty classy hire, around these parts. But at 8000lbs, you should have asked for a discount. :giggle:

Well started to pull the motor apart.
Got the covers off again and noticed one on the driver side was missing two of the metal incerts that stop the gasket from crushing.

I still need tp pull the inatake off but i took the rocker off and use a straight edge to check and see if any were hanging up a bit or streached and there all looking fine.
Springs all look good but its hard to tell if u break a spring near the top or my inerspring is damaged.

I guess more pics of same thing, A motor apart.  Worse thing is its running better then ever!!

People say DSM have probs
