Noise in right front wheel: August 02, 2005, 11:20:45 PM This may be an easy answer, I'm not sure. I have an '87 T-Bird (base model with the 3.. The other day I was getting off the highway and I hit a bump, which followed by a noise in the right front wheel. The sound is kinda like: "shh shh shh shh", and is pretty fast. The faster I go, the faster the noise gets. A few years ago, I had a '93 T-Bird that did almost the same thing in the right rear wheel. However, the difference is this: when it happened to my '93, the noise was constant no matter what (as long as the car was moving). But in this case, when I hit the brakes about halfway or more, the noise almost completely stops. So I'm thinking either one of two things has happened: 1) the bearing has indeed started going out, or 2) the rotor warped somehow, which is why the brakes seem to quiet it. I'm not sure if either of these two assumptions are correct, but I'd really like to know what everyone else thinks. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.Rick Quote Selected

Re: Noise in right front wheel: Reply #2 – August 03, 2005, 08:57:21 AM could be that things are loose up front. could also be a bad berring in the front wheel. When my car did that, it turned out to be two loose lug nuts. It pulled the part where it pressure fit in, and I had to drill out 2 lug nuts.(major pain). I would get it checked out. I ended up getting a new diskbrake, rims and a new berring (I acidentally messed it up while hitting with a hammer and chisel) Quote Selected
