Temperature and fuel gauge up and down 3.8 auto

My temperature needle keeps going 3/4 up the scale and dropping back to midway the fuel gauge shows more fuel when at temp shows 3/4 then drops when temp shows midway also engine cut out while cruising at 60mph then wouldn't start turning over very slowly then starts but very lumpy under throttle for a few secs then fine.its cut out a few times now no codes show.The two problems seam to have  started at the same time don't know if there connected.any ideas would be welcome.

Sounds like your ignition switch is acting up or you have a poor/corroded ground that shows up as temperatures climb. I once had a badly corroded engine to chassis ground that looked fine on the outside but was completely green under the jacket. As long as everything was cool it would run fine but when hot.......It didn't want to start and cranked very slow like a weak battery untill I let things cool. Replaced the ground and everything was good.
