O2 sensor(s) on a 1986 2.3L August 06, 2016, 11:59:32 AM My mechanic just informed me that I will probably need to have the "2nd O2 sensor" on my 1986 XR-7 replaced before I take it through emissions testing next year. I can't find ANYTHING in any of my repair manuals or online about an O2 sensor anywhere except under the hood. My mechanic tells me that there's a 2nd one "near the catalytic converter." Is my mechanic nuts or is there really a 2nd O2 on my car? Thanks! Quote Selected
