So freakin' close!!!!`

I swap the TFI module yesterday....good to go.

This morning, no start.....starter solenoid....swapped it, good to go.

I'm thinking that since I got that stuff done, I'm going to flush the radiator and put in the distilled water and such. As I'm draining the water out after flushing the engine, what do I hear? Is that water popping on the exhaust....DANG!!! Water leaking from the firewall. SO, I bet you guys can guess what I'm doing tomorrow morning...........heater core. Took me about two hours last time. maybe I can do it faster this time.

SO FREAKIN' CLOSE to being done.

Started around 6:00 this evening on the heater core, finished around 8:00. I still have to install the small panels on each side of the lower steering column.  I have about 15 minutes of labor left. The dash is back in place, hoses installed. Got to put the shifter bezel on as well. EASY stuff. I'll add water, run it, check everything out. If all is well, then drain the tap water, add distilled water, two bottles of water wetter and a little antifreeze. Good to go. Dang, what a Saturday.

I installed a brand new alternator when I installed the new engine. As a matter of fact. new alternator, new water pump, new oil pump, new timing cover, new everything. The Sport is almost, literally, a brand new car.

Oh, and I AM going to buy a Motorcraft starter solenoid. My Douche Zone solenoid ped out at 4 months old. I have almost everything else back to Genuine Ford parts as far as sensors and other electrical components go.

I just used Bosch relays on my Coupe. Plugged right in and cost $5. Been on the car for 10 years now.

I was hoping someone in town had one today. Nope. So, Autozone will have one on Tuesday. I'll still grab a Bosch or Motorcraft relay later. I'm doing all I can to NOT use Autozone parts like that.

Every parts store relay I've ever used went to . I actually just go out and find a wrecked car at the junk yard (that way you have a pretty good idea it was running before hand) and throw it right in. Ever oem one I've used out lasted the car.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Autozone didn't complete the order on the computer so still no relay. They said another can be here MAYBE Saturday, probably Monday.  I got my money back and ordered one through Napa. It'll be here in the morning. Then hopefully all will be good. I installed my old relay, started up, but not sure how long it'll run again before dying.
