Everyone makes mistakes

bellow is a NISSAN that was recalled by the dealer for warped rotors. Chris is my neighbor and i told him i would do it for him for free. His wife insisted on using the dealer. This is the result. They spun the caliper over while installing it and the hose rubbed through the sway bar  bolt and he lost the rear brakes. Always double check everything especially the brakes. By the way the dealer refused to fix it and said they were not at fault. I repaired the car and all is well in Asian car land.

I spend money I don't have, To build  cars I don't need, To impress people I don't know

Tom, did you mean to say this (red highlight) or that the sway bar bolt rubbed through the hose?

We all make mistakes at some time. Thanks for being a good neighbor!!

The hose was compromised had a hole in it because the bolt rubbed a hole in it. Hope this is a little clearer.

Hah, yeah, the way it was worded made no sense - the hose causing damage to the bolt ;)

Why would the wife want to go to a dealer? In my experience, they are the worst at everything. I wasted time and money at Ford dealerships when I was younger. Even during the 7-years of availability, ask any Honda dealer about their first-generation Insights and they'd look at you cluelessly. Normal oil change? Tighten that crush washer like any steel pan! Destroy those magnesium pan threads!

We need more quality mechanics in the world.
