M5r2 for 87 tbird 3.8???

GOOD IDEA OR NO? I found a good deal on a m5r2 from a 92 sc, will it fit in my 87 or if so is it even worth the trouble? I know, I know everyone is going to suggest the t-5 but believe me I have searched my area and appearently everybody around here is looking for one and anyone that has one will not come off them.:hick:

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Haystack, I live in junkyards on the weekends. theres none to be found in GA. unless I want to pay $600-800... that's more than I paid for the car.lol  lots of mustang geeks and folks that want to run 5.0 rangers around my neck of the woods. trust me, I have done the leg work. but I did pick up another AOD for $100 today.

Want me to pick one up for you?

I haven't had good luck with junkyard/used aod's.

I'm not trying to be a prick, but there are generally at least 5 sn-95's and at least one t-5 most of the places i visit.
