wiper motor issues

I'm delivering pizza in my cougar part time. today the wipers just froze. i got out and moved them by hand. still didn't do much as i was wearing nice pants and my work shirt.

Non intermittent wipers.
wiper motor makes no noise. radio is randomly shutting off at the same time the insturment cluster dims.

haven't checked any fuses or the motor yet. it needs to be working tomorrow afternoon. if i need to, ill swap the wiper motor off of my tbird or go junkyarding tomorrow.

i see no fuses for the wiper. my guess is motor brushes are shot. gonna go pull it out and see what i can find. anythibg else to look for?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Motor is junk. if i tap it with a hammer it works ocassionally.

gonna junkyard a "new" one. not worth $54 in my mind.

Got one already, thanks.

pulled it out of an 83 tbird. had a 82 stamp build date. looked pretty clean. i also snagged a gray console lid. my interior is red, but the old one had a million tears in it.

it was a super easy swap. 8mm 1/4 drive and an extension and a flat head. i was done in about 10 minutes. it takes a second to park, so i might have to clean up the ground, but now i can get back to delivering pizza..
