Getting a little mad here October 09, 2013, 08:45:24 PM 88 T-Bird.Performed the 5-Lug upgrade in hopes of better braking. Have not done the rear yet. Not a hole lot of added breaking power. Upgrade was done with 95 Stang parts. Decided to further the upgrade with drilled and slotted rotors, Lincoln Mark VII calipers and 95 Stang master cylinder. Current master cylinder I now find has 3 lines coming from it. The one from the Mustang only has 2. Bird one has third one going to the left front. ?????? Do I need distribution block and lines from the Stang? Lincoln calipers will not bolt on to the mounting brackets, and the ports for the lines are in a different location. Do I need Lincoln brackets? What about the brake hoses? Getting these upgrade ideas from Cool Cats site. Quote Selected
Getting a little mad here Reply #1 – October 10, 2013, 02:34:36 AM I now see I have gotten ahead of myself. Found the answers to the MC delima. Should not do that until I do the rear brakes. I have been waiting for a parts car for swapping the rear diff. That would be the time to do the rear disc conversion and replace the master cylinder with 3-2 conversion and adjustable prop valve. I will store the master cylinder for now and buy some rotors and calipers while I wait. Advance sells new brackets for the calipers. I will get some pr0nto along with some new hoses. I would think the Lincoln hoses would be appropriate. This should help with the poor braking for now and get rid of the terrible warped rotors. Have not felt comfortable with old calipers and hoses that have been sitting for years. Quote Selected

Getting a little mad here Reply #4 – October 10, 2013, 07:58:45 PM No worry what i think you need is a master with a smaller bore size. We go through this all the time picking masters. You need something smaller than 1 inch to work correctly. Good luck Quote Selected
