My day at Chicagloand Speedway

So yesterday I went for that Rusty Wallace driving experience. Let me tell you! It was one heck of ride :D First off, after the "Drivers meeting" and getting suited up, I was waiting at the pit wall in the opening to the garage area, and was watching for the cars to go around, well...... I saw the 39 Army car coming thru the grass headed for pit road. The lady driving lost it and spun in turn 4. The car turned/slid to it's left and she came screeching towards the parked cars and SMASH!! She hit on the passenger side of her car and completely smashing the rear-end of another car pushing it into 2 more cars and hitting the pit-wall. The people who were watching started to run back before the impact but a few people weren't watching. Thankfully no one was hurt!! They stopped everything for close to 2 hrs to clean up and to check on everybody that was in that area. My wife and son was sitting just to left of were the out of control car hit. But again all is well and no injuries. Wife was in the middle of texting one of her doctors when this all happened and all she said was "Well, hell"
Needless to say that left a lot of us rather nervous but when they started everything back up, I climbed into the 18 car and had a BLAST!! I passed a couple of people and was passed by 2 of the Ride-along cars as they can run 180.

I'll try to post the short video clips my wife took and a couple of scary pics of me in the suit :mullet:

Sure does sound like fun, hopefully the crash didn't cut into your track time. I can only imagine but I bet it was over way too quickly.

No, it didn't cut into anyones track time :D      It was AWESOME!!!! but waaaaay too short :( I'll have to save my pennies and get a bigger package  with a ride-along first. I wanna feel that 180 up close to the wall!!! They put marking down to let you know how far up the track you're allowed to go, which they only take a little over a lane at the top for the ride-alongs. :burnout:

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
