AOD shifter illumination

I never had light from my shifter and thought it was just designed that way. Some years back I pulled the melted green bulb filter from the socket and found that there is indeed supposed to be light. Today I went to wire this up and found no power. The wiring is fine to the connector, and beyond where it goes into the car's main wire harness.

Where does this run to, and it is supposedly be on whenever the headlights are on, correct? I cannot find what I'm looking for in the scanned evtm.

Okay, so it began to work. Testing it at the connector didn't work at first, but then it started working.....I will spray some contact cleaner in there and leave it.

owesome,, because i cant find it either,, dont have a  clue.

disappointingly enough, i saw the thread title and got kinka excited to see what neat and new mod your doing,, didnt think you had a problem.
glad i works now... son had the same issue kinda except his bulb was not stuck in the mounting location so the lighting was nearly nil until he stuffed the bulb in the right place.

You know, I don't have the bulb holder that mounts it to the shift panel itself, so I may just have to modify something anyway. Sometime back I was thinking of having lighting, but with the selected gear being a different color than the rest. If I can get a spare plate, I will implement this using wide viewing angle emitters, with a sliding housing and reflector to illuminate the selected gear in orange or something. I will be posting in the wanted forum to get some parts that I need around the vehicle.
