, I was actually hoping to be closer than 40#.  You can make one of these cars featherweight if you try.  Mine should be closer to 2720 on the scca scales this year.

88 t-bird tc - 14.97 @ 90  IHI 18 psi + k+n filter...so far - NOW HX-35 @25psi - 12.75@112    348rwhp/395rwtq

wow! I didn't think it would be quite that light.  I would have guessed a shade over 3000 myself.

Back from the scales!  I ended up weighing it with the back seats in because I took my buddy and my son with me.  I had a quarter tank of gas, jack, and full sized spare (10 hole.)  I have sed the sound deadener from the trunk only.

2920!

Not bad.

Sure as hell BETTER be under 3 grand!! LOL. My silver p.o.s. weighed 3400 on the nose with me in it, somewhere btwn 5 and 10 gallons of gas, that's an 88, no a/c, 5.0, T5, no power seats. No trunk liner, no hood blanket, just for the record. So the car itself, with no me, is about 3250.

So a four-eye, with a FOUR banger, T5, NO backseat, pretty much NO interior, no power seats and no HVAC box whatsoever it sounds like...I should have posted but I was going to guess 2800. Almost makes me wanna gut the silver car fully and see how it scoots lol. But I won't. I just couldn't make myself take a luxury vehicle and strip it down hahahaha, it's so counter-intuitive that it'd be a sin to me. If anything I'll ADD  to that thing and just make more power when I can. Of course power seats, screw that. Way quicker to move well-greased manuals than waiting for power seats. Hell even brand new vehicles aren't any better. Where are my 2 second end-to-end power seats dammit!!!???
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...
1988 Black XR7 Trick Flow top end, Tremec 3550
1988 Black XR7 Procharger P600B intercooled, Edelbrock Performer non-RPM heads, GT40 intake AOD, 13 PSI @5000 RPM. 93 octane
