Alignment Specs December 12, 2011, 09:43:49 PM Does anybody recommend a good alignment spec for the t-bird? I have maximum motorsports camber/caster plates with OEM shocks and struts -- nothing modified and the car is not lowered. I installed the cc plates for street use, not the race set up. I'd like to go a bit more aggressive than the factor street set up but not so aggressive a ruin my newer tires in the first 1,000 miles. The wheels I have are the 15" mustang finned wheels from the '87 - '89 mustang gt. The specs with the mm instructions are as follows:Street Use Caster = 4.5 degrees positive, Camber = 0.5 degrees negative, Toe = 0.5 degree toe-inRace UseCaster = 6.0 degrees positive, Camber = between 1.5 degrees negative and 2.5 degrees negative, Toe = 0.5 degree toe-outMy Initial ThoughtCaster = 5.0 - 5.5 degrees positive, Camber = 1.0 degrees negative, Toe 0.5 - 0.00 toe-inHas anybody done a similar set up to this? Does anybody have any advice or suggestions? Quote Selected
Alignment Specs Reply #1 – December 12, 2011, 10:15:15 PM Caster = as much as you can getCamber -0.75 to -1 degToe in 1/16"Caster will not wear tires, get all you can because it will help with dynamic camber change. Adding the toe in will help tracking and also help compensate for the static neg camber numbers. You dont want zero toe with squishy stock bushings. Quote Selected
