2.3 L turbo auto RPM at 65mph September 04, 2011, 12:16:51 AM Since last year I've been getting about 18mpg on mostly freeway driving on my 85 mercury cougar 2.3 turbo automatic transmission (212,000 miles). To rule out transmission problem, the engine rpm is 2800 at 65mph does this sound normal for stock transmission/engine? Quote Selected
