Porosity (continuing saga with the 18984, 3.8) Reply #17 – January 26, 2011, 02:27:16 PM I've got a good one on an 88 3.8, if it'll help you. I also have an idle control motor off an 88 3.8. They were fuel injected, not sure if the units are different. Quote Selected

Not sure whether an 88 will fit the 84. 84, 3.8 was CFI not EFI or carbed. Will try and do some checking unless someone on the forums knows??Otherwise interested as long as no issues.Re: Idle control, the 84 was CFI. 84 Idle control has a plunger which is moved by a small DC motor (12V as I recall). They also had internal switching which was what mostly went out on them. Haven't bought one in years. Last I got from Autozone ($70.00 then) -- number years back. Quote Selected
