My workhorses and newest addition January 05, 2011, 08:02:37 PM These are my mighty tonka toys.. I suppose.the Black 92 Dakota is my daily driver, shes got a 318 auto 4wheel sittin on 31's just finished putting the rear dif back together ever snap a 5/8" x 4" hardened steel pin? NOT PRETTYThe Gray '86 is just a plain jane busted f150 4x4... with a rather stout built 460/c6 in it. its gettin its life carried on this summer, the drivetrain is going into a 77 shortbox. the floors are toasted, only thing solid on the truck besides the inside of the bed, is the doors hood and visor lol. though she will bounce your head off the back window at a dig.I just recently picked up the blue 89 dakota. its a little 3.9l 4x4 with a toasted tranny. it sat for 3 yrs. threw some fresh petro and a set of plugs in her and she purrs like a kitten.... and oddly... sounds good with dual exhaust.anywho, Enjoy!Clayton Quote Selected
My workhorses and newest addition Reply #1 – January 05, 2011, 08:52:58 PM My friend had a 92 Dakota with the 318 for a couple months. seemed like a good truck, and had a ton of power. The steering wheel rubbed the column trim when you turned though. Drove him nuts. Quote Selected

My workhorses and newest addition Reply #3 – January 06, 2011, 09:41:06 PM I was really surprised with how good it was. His only had like 92k on it. He bought it for a job he would need a truck for. Job didn't go through, so he sold it for 1k, and bought his mustang. Quote Selected
My workhorses and newest addition Reply #4 – January 06, 2011, 10:20:15 PM 92k huh? that isnt to bad. mine has 189k on origional drivetrain sans rear diff and t-case. still bangin like a champ.Shes getting a warmed over 360 and a rebuilt tranny this summer hopefully. along with a 3" lift with a 2" bodylift possibly some paint.I had to rebuild the rear diff cause i blew it pushing some snow. it officially has a trac-lok now and she is surefootedlow roll in 2wd, dropped the blade infront of my mailbox pushed the snow out from infront, backed up to get another run at it and she hung up ok.. patch of ice. NOT! revved it up BOOM and the symphony of chunks of gears between gears sounded so pretty. Quote Selected
