I have a rust hole at the peak of my wheel arch. Does anyone have some of a fender laying around?

All the birds around the yards here are either rusted or wrecked.

I dont think a new qtr is nessisary, let me know what you guys thing, know.

Honestly that would be easy enought to make out of some flat sheetmetal rather than cutting up a fender or quarter panel. I assume you are going to weld it in?

...and the underside lip of a fender is diff from the quarter panel lip. if it's rusting, then the entire inner/ outer panel needs to be separated and treated, otherwise any repair on that will rust again, and just come back bigger then it is now.

It can just be repaired pretty easily though.

I will look this weekend. My parts car might have what you want. It'll be cheap money too because I can't use it. If you think it'll help you, then great.

What are you talking about? bondo and fiberglass!

kidding, I plan on welding it in, I was gonna practice on a new panel on my old chevy van first though... see how it goes.

how hard is it to separate to get to the inner fender?

I remember seeing you remove your qtr jerry, but here at work can go through 200 pages to find the pix on your rebuild lol

You would have to drill out the welds along the wheelwell, pry apart to expose, and treat any rust between the 2 panels

So i have pictures... I dunno if you will want it. It's solid, but the paint started to "flake" off. I couldn't find the thread, the net in my apartment has been down. I'll post pictures soon, gotta post to photobucket.

paint flaking off isn't really a concern, it has to be stripped of all paint anyway or it'll burn off when he welds it in lol
